One Book, One Campus Overview. Each year, the One Book selection committee chooses a book that will engage students, faculty and staff in considering deeply the implications of the work relevant to a theme of current social issues. One City One Book is a generic name for a community reading program that attempts to get everyone in a city to read and discuss the same book.
